As the original was produced in an older version of Element I thought it was time for a remake of this technique. Tourist - This was very much a grab shot, a small group of people suddenly seemed to line-up on the quayside but there was nothing really there, the lighting and sky was pretty flat but just had to take the picture. When I downloaded it and took a closer look I couldn’t help but notice the way the lighting and shadows gave the people relief from the background. That gave me the idea for this picture Tourist
Lightroom part 1and part 2 in Elements. This picture was taken in Murcia, Spain showing the main square and cathedral. Taken at the wide end of the lens 18mm and slightly tilting upwards has resulted in converging verticals. Adjustment Layers in Photoshop Elements [Content/download protected for members only Please login to view or download] A grab shot taken by a very good friend of ours whilst on a short break in Prague. It was -10c , dull and overcast and when the image was downloaded from the camera it looked very ‘flat’. But using Adjustment Layers and a few other tricks in Photoshop Elements it’s amazing the detail, colours and tones we can get out of the images and saving it as a .psd file keeps it fully editable.
