It started with a question from one of our members who asked about adding the word LOVE  into a slide show but not using captions. I first thought it was a slide style but then thought about creating the text in Photoshop with a clear centre so that you could use it for any occasion. In these tutorials we will be using the word SNOW but changing the text would suit any occasion!

A little while ago on the ProShow Gold DVD I did a video on creating curtains and then using them in the opening sequence of a slide show. After a request we now take a look at bring this tutorial up to date in both Photoshop and ProShow Gold

Whilst working on a slide show I wanted to create a dreamy style vignette that would help to highlight the main subjects.

Creating a 3D shadow effect in ProShow Producer In this video we look at how we can create a realistic drop shadow that will help give a slide definition from its background. Some of the techniques used in Producer include:  Layers, Keyframes and saving Layer Styles

Using ProShow Web In this series of  3 videos we take a look at how we can create stunning slide shows on the web that can be added to your web site, YouTube and Facebook. It is so simple using their easy to use interface. It’s for both Mac and PC and it’s free  for up to 15 slides!

(Basic) Keyframes in ProShow Producer is a great way to add something a little bit special to your slide shows. In this video we go back to basics exploring how Keyframes can be used and edited in the Motion Preview dialogue box.

In these two videos we first take a look at how easy it is to create a stunning looking slide show in minutes using the Wizard feature ProShow Producer 4.5. In the second video we look at how we can edit and fine tune the show produced by the Wizard. 

Falling snow effect Adding animated falling snow can really help to make your slide shows stand out and in these 3 video tutorials we explore how we can achieve this effect. In the first of the three videos we start in Photoshop using a great free plug-in before bringing it all together in the second and third videos using ProShow Gold 4.0 . This is easy to follow in Producer 4.0

Creating a Snow Globe effect Adding animated snow fall inside a Snow Globe can really help to make your slide shows stand out. In these 3 video tutorials we explore how we can achieve this effect. In the first of the three videos we start in Photoshop using a great free plug-in.In the second video  using Photoshop we  can  create the Snow Globe itself , and  in the  third video we see how it can be used  using  ProShow Producer 4.0 .

Panorama Pop-ups in Producer If you want to add a panorama type  image to ProShow Producer it isn’t easy as ProShow will resize the image to fit the slide no matter what size you use. In these videos we take a look at how we can highlight key-points in our panoramas by using pop-ups. The same technique can be used in any slide where you want to highlight points of interest.

Editing videos in ProShow

The Race  From The Race slide show explores how it was put together. By selecting the panels in Photoshop we can use the sliding panels effect in ProShow Producer. We also look at many other features including Masking, Keyframes and editing sound track. The download set includes 5 video tutorials with a total runtime of 62 minutes

Creating a quick show in ProShow Gold  Using some of the commands in ProShow Gold 4 we look at how quickly and easily we can put a slide show together in ProShow Gold 4. Not only is this a great way to producing a slide show ‘on the fly’  but it can also be a good starting point for future editing
