Photomatix Pro 5 images tone mapped part 1

In this video we are going to take a look at using Photomatix Pro and Tone Mapping  a single image. The video is in 2 parts, starting in Photomatix where we look at the adjustment to achieve the ‘look’ we are trying to create. Then in part 2 cropping and enhancing the image further in Photoshop

The original image was a handheld shot taken with the Lumix G3 and although I was very pleased with it I wanted to bring out more of the great the detail and colour of Bristol Cathedral. Topaz Adjust is just the filter for doing this and when we have created the effect we are looking for it can be saved as a preset

Creating an Antique look using Nik.  We Start with Nik Silver Efex Pro and Nik Color Efex Pro 3 before adding the finishing touches with Adjustment layers

In these two videos we take a look at how we can remove a person from its background keeping the fine detail and fly away hair using Topaz ReMask3

In this video we take a look at converting a Raw file in Topaz Adjust and  adding a real sense drama to the image. The image is also corrected using the Lens correction filter and we can keep the PSD file fully adjustable using Smart Objects

Using Topaz Adjust 4 and Topaz Clean 3 In this video we take a look at my favourite Photoshop plugin Topaz Labs, and using two of their filter Topaz Adjust 4 and Topaz Clean 3. In the first video we look at how the filters can be added and easily adjusted using Smart Filter in Photoshop. Part 2 we look at editing the colours and further adjustment of Topaz using Smart filter

The Wine Bar fx Photoshop & Topaz. In this video we look at how we can transform a snap shot into a picture that would look great hanging on any wall. We start in Camera Raw then use Photoshop to enhance the details in the image before applying the effects using Topaz Adjust and Topaz Clean

Starting with one Raw file we first look at how we can  convert it in Photomatix Pro and save it as a 16 or 8 bit Tiff or Jpg image. In the next stage we can further process the image to produce a painterly effect before finishing in Photoshop
