DIY HDR – Blending Exposure In this video we take a look at how we can use 3 handheld images at different exposures to produce an HDR image. Starting in Bridge we start look at how we can open the Raw files into Photoshop in layers. Blending them together and using masks we can create an HDR image but using this method we have complete control of the different exposures.
Duotone/Tritone In this video we take a look at how we can use Duotone to enhance our images. We also see how we can blend a Tritones image to give a retro feel to our photographs
Sometimes our images can look a little too clean, crisp, colourful and new. In this video we look at how we can age an image using colour and tones. This method has been inspired by many TV programmes and films and is a great way to learn more about using Layers
Creating a ND graduated filter Once you have created and saved this effect it can be quickly be applied other images, yet still remain fully adjustable. I have used the same technique before but this time we see how we can restore the whites in the clouds.
Landscape Lighting In this video we look at enhancing the lighting and colour’s by ‘Painting with Light helping to make an ordinary sense into a winner
Enhancing the lighting and tones can help to change the mood of an image dramatically. In this video we look at how using layers, blend modes, adjustment layers and non-destructive dodging and burning.
Creating a motion style frame that will add a sense of movement to your images. We look at how the background can be changed and adjust to work with different images

Creating a reusable frame and border in Photoshop. It’s really simple and great fun to use. You can create many different border effects, saving them as Custom Shapes that can be used over and over again.
In this video we take a look at creating a simple image montage. This is a great way to presenting your images and ideal for photo books and slide shows. We look at how we can keep the two main images the same size and apply different effect to the background
Creative borders There are many different ways that we can add frames and borders to present our images. In this video we explore some slightly different ways that this can be done
Creating a minimal style image and adding stroke orders
In this video we first look at correcting the colour cast and bringing out the details in the image. We then see how by darkening down the sky slightly not only does this bring out the detail in the clouds but it also holds us in the image. Finally we look at slightly adjusting some of the colours in the image.
In this video we take a look at how we can improve the detail in both the shadow and highlights in the image, which can really help to reveal some of the finer detail and tones. We then look at how we can enhance the image by correcting and improving the colours
I thought the bluebells were in a pool of light when I took the shot, well they still can be:) Using some of the tools in Photoshop we take a look at how we can change the lighting and tones on the subject to make them stand out even more
Replacing a difficult sky In this in depth tutorial we look at how we can replace a sky by placing it behind the branches of a tree, or other obstacles. CS3-5
